Hattie and the Wild Waves

Hattie and the wild Waves is based on Barbara Cooney's mother's life. Hattie is a young girl. Growing up in the early 20th century. Her family spends their Summers at their beach house. She loves the ocean. Hattie can't do needle work and she can't play the piano, but she loves to paint. That is all she does besides walk on the beach with her dog Ebbie and listen to the wild ocean waves
