The Mermaids of Europa

When we sent probes out to Europa, we were hoping to find signs of life in our solar system. But finding that life has kicked off a brand new space race, with deadly stakes millions of miles from home.

Zoe Mazur, a diplomat in way over her head, has been sent on a multi-year mission to go to Europa, establish contact with the intelligent life forms (nicknamed "mermaids" by the general public), and pave the way for an exchange of information.

But Zoe’s mission might be doomed from the start. No one has ever been in space this long, and the bodies and minds of the crew can only hold out for so long.
