Understanding Their World: How to Support Children with Disabilities Activity Book

I’ve had the pleasure of providing physical therapy services to children with disabilities and physical challenges for over two decades. My love for children and my aspirations to assist with their overall growth, development, inclusion, representation and well-being-led me to write a children’s book and it’s companion coloring book.

I have spoke to parents, teachers, children and caregivers who expressed challenges with assimilation of children with disabilities into social settings and daily activities. This coloring book has vivid images of children with special needs to help bring awareness and to get us all thinking about ways we can be supportive.

As you color and work through the activities-let this inspire you to devise creative ideas to provide support, assistance, encouragement and inclusion. Also use it to stimulate conversation with your family and friends.
